2. Scope and legal basis
This privacy policy explains which personal data we process through the website bookadentist.ch and related services. We comply with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the Data Protection Ordinance (DPO). Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we base processing on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), on pre-contractual measures or the performance of a contract (b), on legal obligations (c) or on our legitimate interest in operating the website securely and reliably (f).
Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, for example name, email address, phone number or IP address. Information about your health, such as dental complaints, is sensitive personal data.
3. Hosting and technical operation (Base44)
This website is operated on the Base44 platform. The provider is Base44, Inc., a company of the Wix.com group (Wix.com Ltd., Israel, and Wix.com Inc., USA). Base44 provides hosting, database and delivery of the website and processes personal data on our behalf. A Data Processing Agreement is in place with Base44.
Base44 servers are located in the United States. Base44, Inc. is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. The European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses apply in addition.
When you visit the website, technically necessary data is collected automatically, in particular IP address, date and time of access, page requested, referrer URL, browser type and operating system. Base44 also derives platform usage statistics from this data. The data is used to deliver the website, ensure system security and analyse errors. It is not combined with other personal data and is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for these purposes.

4. Contacting us
If you contact us by email or phone, we process your details to respond to your request. The data is deleted once your request has been fully handled, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
5. Newsletter
To subscribe to our newsletter we need your email address. It is stored in the website database at Base44 and used exclusively to send our newsletter. Processing is based on your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@zahnarzt-kerzers.ch; your address will then be deleted.
6. Free question via VideoAsk
For the “Ask your question for free” feature we use VideoAsk, a service of Typeform S.L., Barcelona, Spain. The VideoAsk script and widget are only loaded after you consent to the “External media” category in the cookie banner; your IP address is then transmitted to Typeform. If you ask a question, the content you submit (video, audio, text and, where applicable, name and email address) is stored by Typeform and made available to us so we can answer.
Please note that information about your dental complaints is health data. By submitting your question you expressly consent to its processing for the purpose of answering it. Only submit information that is necessary for your question.

7. Online appointment booking with Calendly
To book an online consultation we link to Calendly, a service of Calendly LLC, Atlanta, USA. Data is only transmitted to Calendly once you click the link. When you book, Calendly records the details you enter (in particular name, email address, preferred appointment and, where applicable, information about your concern). Calendly is certified under the Data Privacy Framework.

8. Links to other websites
This website contains links to external offerings, such as the zahnliebe.ch shop and our partners. Their respective operators are solely responsible for data processing on those sites.
9. Cookies and local storage
We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking purposes. On your first visit, a cookie banner asks for your consent. Technically necessary storage functions (storing your choice in the browser’s local storage and technical functions of the Base44 platform) are always active. External media (VideoAsk) are only loaded with your consent; VideoAsk may then set its own cookies.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings.
10. Fonts
The Inter font is served directly from this website. No connection is made to servers of Google or other font providers.
11. Transfers abroad
Using the services described above may result in personal data being disclosed to the United States and to EU countries. Transfers to the United States are based on the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or on Standard Contractual Clauses.
12. Retention period
We only process personal data for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose or as required by statutory retention obligations. The data is then deleted or anonymised.

The website is delivered exclusively over encrypted HTTPS connections. Base44 encrypts data in transit and at rest and holds independent security certifications. Nevertheless, complete protection against all risks of data transmission over the internet cannot be guaranteed.

Within the scope of applicable law, you have the right to access your personal data processed by us, and the right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing.
